I am Hispanic, 43 years young and having many issues. Currently, I am approximately 40-50 lbs overweight and I look pregnant. Seriously, like all my extra fat head right to the stomach/butt area. I know I am not, because my uterus was removed in 2012. One of ovaries was removed last year in August when a large tumor was found. I do have one remaining tumor. I have been feeling the same symptoms as last year, such as constipation, weakness, lethargic, foggy brained, and I also have a huge bump/lump on the back of my neck which is painful. My vision has also been blurry. I say these things to the doctor and my husband and of course, it is assumed I overeat or I am lazy. I must add that I have a military injury that prevents me from a lot of exercise- bad back and on miloxicam, diloxetine and gabapentin. They may be spelled wrong. I don’t know what to do… but recently read about this Cushing’s syndrome and think I should see an endocrinologist. Any thoughts?
Given the removal of your uterus and ovary, I think you should definitely see an endocrinologist. Get them to run as many hormone tests as you can. They should be checking sex hormones, thyroid hormones, cortisol, etc etc.
Also consider seeing an integrative doctor if you have the money. They will run tests that regular MDs might not, and get a fuller picture of what’s going on.
Do you find yourself constantly fatigued, and struggling to get out of bed in the mornings? Do you feel unable to cope with stressful situations? If so, you might be suffering from Adrenal Fatigue Syndrome.
