I’ve had general anxiety, panic attacks, depression and IBS on and off for 25 years.
About 10 years ago I started getting flare-ups of what felt like flu-symptoms. Feeling slightly feverish and unwell. This would last a week or two and re-occur ever six months or so but seemed dependent on stress and bouts of anxiety. I had blood tests done several times but everything was clear.I was diagnosed with adrenal fatigue and prescribed supplements and accupuncture. This did seem to help although whether it was psychological I’m not quite sure.
I’ve now had three years of extreme stress and moved to three different countries in that time.
My symptoms have been bad for the past six months with constant sinus infections, headaches, fatigue, IBS, insomnia, bad adrenaline surges that last for days and general aches and pains. It’s also been suggested that I may have fibromyalgia although I don’t have all the symptoms considered when diagnosing this. But I have a lot of pain in one arm, shoulder and elbow at the moment.
Does one get joint or muscle pain with adrenal fatigue?
Is fibromyalgia linked to adrenal fatigue?November 4, 2017 at 1:29 am #13557WhisperParticipantYes it is, linked to fibromyalgia linked to adrenal fatigue!
Have you seen a Dr. for this?November 5, 2017 at 2:45 am #13573BeckybecksParticipantThanks for your reply.
Yes I’ve seen Doctors in the past but when tests come back clear they don’t seem to know what to say. Only one referred me for accupuncture and prescribed supplements for adrenal overload. Another told me: “I suppose it could be Fibromyalgia’ but gave no suggestions regarding treatment.
It feels like they don’t really believe my symptoms. So I don’t bother to go to them anymore.
I feel it’s better to talk to fellow sufferers who have experienced similar symptoms.
Where I live there are very few good medical practitioners and no naturopathic doctors at all. I get all my info from Google.November 5, 2017 at 3:12 am #13575WhisperParticipantI understand. Same feelings here.
Please look here. I believe much of our issues are Hormone related, as a matter of fact there is proof. The Hypothalamus controls the activity of the Pituitary gland. And as you know the Pituitary gland controls the Adrenals. Please read this, it is a complexed Issue.
