Thanks for responding. I feel I have pretty good sleep hygiene-no screens past 8pm, dim the lights, relaxing stretching and breathing, prayer, eye mask and ear plugs.
I’ve been checking my blood sugar with a monitor for 6 weeks. When I first crashed, my 2am blood sugars were in the 50s and 60s. Really low with bad sweats, heart racing, nightmares, etc. Thankfully I must be healing because now they are in the 70s but I still wake knowing something is really wrong in my body. It’s fascinating to read about the physiology of what happens in the liver and glucose dumping and the affects on the adrenals/hormones/cortisol.
I do recommend anyone having some of these night symptoms to pick up a blood glucose monitor. They are very cheap on Amazon. Low blood sugar not only disrupts our sleep but is not good for the body and can be serious.
Still looking for any dietary tips that have worked for anyone. Thanks
