18 years old and think I may have adrenal fatigue. Always tired from the moment I wake up until about 4PM (even if I get about 9 hours sleep). I don’t eat much junk food or sugary drinks. I always occasionally feel dizzy when I stand up sometimes.
I have really dark circles under my eyes and I have tried everything to eliminate them but they’re still there – would this be Adrenal fatigue causing this?
Do you think I have Adrenal fatigue – if yes then what’s the best way to treat it.
Thanks!March 5, 2016 at 7:23 am #5585
Hi Bill, I’m sorry to hear that you’re struggling. Have you been under a lot of stress recently? Is that something that might be disrupting your sleep? Do you have food allergies that you aren’t aware of? Any digestive problems? If you can try to identify what might be causing the issues that you have, it will make it much easier to solve them.
Here’s a link with some of the causes of adrenal fatigue:
I would recommend getting blood tests to look for any nutritional deficiencies. Maybe test your hormone levels too (cortisol, thyroid etc), if you can.
I suffered from Adrenal Fatigue, and I'm here to help as many people as I can! (Note that I'm not a doctor!)June 26, 2016 at 8:28 pm #7297
First buy the herb ashwagandha. It has made a huge difference in my adrenal fatigue. Himalaya brand is really good.
The dosage recommendation on the bottle is meant for someone barely needing help. When in adrenal crisis our bodies have been in emergency for a long time. We need a higher dosage. There is a site that says this. Thank goodness i did take a higher dosage. I never would have gotten any help taking the dosage on the bottle and I would have given up on ashwagandha. Instead ash amazing in treating adrenal glands.
